LA TAQUERIA

Mexican Food is one of the more popular cuisines in the United States.

Chef and Owner, Dennis Lake, brings that full-service experience into a fun, but fast casual space.

Handmade blue corn tortillas are paired with fire-roasted salsas, grilled and oven-roasted “Carnes”, this menu will not disappoint.

La Taqueria offers premium Tequilas, Mezcals and Margaritas from the top of Greenwich Avenue and now Downtown Darien.

We welcome you and your friends to come in and try us out.

As a full service Caterer, we also specialize in bringing our in-house experience directly to you.

Meet the Chef & Owner

Dennis Lake

As an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America, Dennis has worked with both Certified Master Chefs (CMC’s), Brad Barnes, and Hartmut Handke, the first four years out of the Institute.

From Hotels to large, themed restaurants, to Celebrity Chefs and most recently, Glaze Teriyaki and Rosa Mexicano, they have all molded and formed him into who he is today.

Excellent food with deep flavors and a great selection of tequilas. We have tried almost everything on the menu and can't find something that we would not recommend.

My friend and I were starving on a Saturday afternoon and needed some snacks to tide us over until dinner. We weren't expecting much from the place since it's more fast casual but boy were we wrong. The margarita was fresh, not drowned in premade margarita mix. The quesadilla with cactus was so good we almost ordered a second. We will definitely be back if we are in Greenwich CT again.

Wow, had the short rib burrito today and I honestly think it was the best burrito I've ever had. Had a huge portion of short rib, and other goodness. Not half way filled with rice like your typical burrito. Employees were so nice as well. I will definitely be back soon for more delicious short rib!

This restaurant is beyond amazing. The staff are so kind and loving. Every single thing on the menu more than delicious! This restaurant is my favorite restaurant of all time! Love, Love, Love coming here. The food is so fresh and well seasoned, all the flavors are just right. I was super hungry and ordered the fish, spare rib, steak and wild mushroom taco. It was heavenly. The staff here is very friendly and tonight they went out of their way to accommodate one of my silly requests, but they scored big by doing it. Looking forward to many good meals at LaTaqueria.
